Innocence of a Child

It is funny to think about being a child again... we all tried for so long to grow up.
"I can't wait to be 16."
"I can't wait to get my full license."
"I can't wait to graduate high school."
"I can't wait to go to college."
"I can't wait to graduate college."
"I can't wait to get my own place."
The list goes on and on.
But now that I am where I am, I would rather be a child than any other thing in the world.

There is an innocence found in children that cannot compare to the knowledge of adulthood.

I have 3 younger sisters, and there are times when I wish I could be 10 again... Just to not have to worry about certain things. To just be alive.

That is one things that kids can do incredibly well: live. They live the way life was meant to be lived. One moment at a time. They don't have a day-planner, or a to-do list. They just live and enjoy it while it lasts. For some reason, when we reach a certain age, that all just slips away.

God, what I would give to once again have the innocence of a child.
